Introducing our New Director

We are excited to welcome Lisa Muse, our new Director of Mauldin Christian Academy. Lisa has 30 years of experience in Christian Education and has a passion to equip and encourage teachers who serve in the educational arena. She served as the Head of School for over 24 years at Mt. Zion Christian School and served five years at First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest in the capacity of Lower School principal and Director of Admissions. She desires to use her administrative giftings to bring glory to God by leading the MCA faculty and staff in making a difference in the lives of students and families.

Lisa has experience in professional development for teachers, curriculum development, counseling for parents, leading faculty and staff, and she has served on multiple ACSI accreditation teams. She earned her BA in Psychology with a concentration in Elementary Education from Furman University and holds a Master of Education degree from Columbia International University.

Lisa is married to Russ Muse, who is the lead pastor at Freedom Church Upstate in Mauldin, and they have two adult children Nathaniel Muse, married to Kristen, and Meghan Muse Hammett, married to Nick Hammett. She is blessed with four grandchildren and her greatest joy is spending time with them.
